The Holidays are fast approaching and it can be hard to help
your children (or yourself for that matter), keep track of their gifts and who
gave them what. When you want to
instill a thankful heart in your child, it is important to start early helping
him/her write thank you notes for the presents they receive. One way you can do this is to keep a
family thank-you book.
Buy a journal that is sturdy and one that everyone in the
family will recognize. Keep track
of who gave what gifts to the members in your family. If that individual has sent out a thank you note – they will
have marked a check mark or placed a sticker there. If it is empty, then you
know that your child has not recognized the kindness someone has given to them
in the form of a gift.
This is a good way to remind everyone to be thankful for
what they receive while also helping keep track of the gifts themselves.
